SHe rran for an hour and never got over 171 Degrees farenheit. Nice. This is an old vid. More to come of the new mufflers and the refreshed cooling system. I will take her out and have someone record her.

  • Is this a GTO? Mine wasn't.

  • No. She is still a 67 Tempest. I am keeping her a Tempest. Last season, I did a full front end rebuild. A new TH350 tranny. My next thing, as soon as the weather warms up, is a new set of matching auto meter gauges. I recently did a custom stereo install as well. I will post a link to the website once I finish the write up.

Thanks for looking!!. More videos coming.

  • Yeah, I had the same problem. Try to get the manifolds out with a pry bar. remove the engine mount bolts from the engine, and use the pry bar to slide the manifold out. then use the same technique to get the headers in. Worked for me. Just watch out for the driverside bolts right behine cylinder #3.. It is a PITA!!!!!!

  • Great Car! I;m 15 and my dad and I are working on a 66 tempest custom. Its 4 door and its all original. Still has its 326. Its so sad that so may people are cloning em to GTO's.

  • Are you in Sparta NJ???

  • Nice i got a 70 tempest

  • Right on..... Nice to see Tempest's. Most people clone them into GTO's. Damn shame....

  • My first car was a blue 1967 Tempest, just like this one (it ran better though!) It had been my grandmother's car and I got it after graduating college in 1985. She started falling apart faster than I could keep it put together and I finally had to trade her in. It broke my heart & I cried like a baby all the way home. I am so happy to see "my" car again and would love if you would post a video where we can see it better, interior included, and I could relive my girlhood for a while.

  • She sounds like a real beauty- I can't tell very much if she looks like one- yet! Looking forward to more vids!

  • i have a 68 tempest 350

  • nice tempest my brotehr has a 65 with original 326 and 2spd powerglide..its gonna be a bitch puttin in the headers since we cant even get out the manifolds without liftin the engine loll

  • 171 what? 171 mph, you mean? On a dyno?
