What a clever idea. I used to work on engine testbeds. These require a "load" for the engine to drive and one way of providing this is to couple an electric motor (used as a dynamo) The output of this is progressively "shorted out" and thus loads the dyamo and testbed. Enjoyable vidoe and commentary.
