I was the yard boss, worked for EO1 Huffman who retired as a senior chief, you went to subic on a second tour ??!! did you have to go to rehab afterwards? ha! I don't want to give my name on here but I was good friends and hung out with with EO3 Harmon and EO3 Zuk I was a EO3 also

@The657scraper I was in NMCB 62 also, My first Battalion. EOCN CHADDERDON. YES SUBIC WAS A BLAST. THEN I WAS TRANSFERED TO NMCB 133 AND DID IT ALL OVER AGAIN, EO THAT I REMEMBER, EO1 HOFFMANN, EO1 TAYLOR, EO2 RODRIGUEZ, E02 STAGER, EO 1 ROWE, EO3 ROBERTSON, EO3 WILLIAMS. Just for reference ,, the river that boarders the town was nick named the Shit river, because of the rotten sewage that went into it... I never thru pecos's into it, to see the children dive for a quarter, but they never should have been swimming in it to begin with. The town as I remember it was dirt poor and only had hooker clubs day and nite,, for the Navy. The girls were sweet and pretty, but it was either hook for 20 dollars, and mona son got 10 or work in the sweat factorys for .10 anhour.

olongapo city is much better now... magsaysay drive is full of fun and Party all night during fri,sat&sun. while subic is full of great resorts, adventures and FUN... i love my city !!!

@TexanUSMC8089 Yup, the best of times. I was on a bird farm at the time, Carl Vinson but left and went SWCC. Had a bunch of work and play with our Marine brothers. If we could go back to being 18 and the service was the same as it was then, I don't think I would hesitate a second at going back in. I loved my service.

@maconsumner LOL I was there in 83. I know what the river was called too. Did you throw some pesos in? As a Marine I drank a few beers with a few squids. LOL Those were good times.
