Selection rounds of Pertandingan Syarahan & Ujian Bertulis Peringkat Negeri Melaka; in conjunction of Kempen Bahasa Malaysia Piala Perpaduan SJKC & SJKT Peringkat Negeri Melaka 2009; organised by the State Education Ministry of Malacca, on the 26th July 2009.

Sarah Jane Tey Li Yee, age 11, won the 1st place for the district of Bukit Cina and the 5th place for the state of Malacca, in a speech (syarahan) competition in Bahasa Malaysia.

In the Syarahan entitle 'BAHASA KEBANGSAAN INSPIRASI PERPADUAN' (A National Language Inspires Unity), Sarah Jane Tey then went on to represent her school, SJK (C) Keh Seng one week later, in the finals for the state of Malacca.
