I'm 13 and Terry Pratchett is my bloomin' idol. (I love oblivion hehe). His books are so witty and humorous I actually find myself giggling out loud. I'm really sad that he got Alzheimer's and I think it's remarkable that he still carries on with writing. But the inescabable and heart breaking fact is that one day he's not going to be able to write anymore. He's one of the reasons I want to be an author (really not very likely but what the hell everone's got an ambition)
It is incredible how this man tackles such a terrible disease. He is still ful of live and humor. People like him keep me going in even the owrst situations. Thank you Terry for your books -hopefully many more to come- and for your courage. And I do hope there is a pill in 5 years.
awsome Terry Patchett likes Oblivion he has good taste. Terry Pratchett is awesome and its sad that he got Alzheimer's first douglas adams died now terry's got Alzheimer's disease ):
Terry needs to try a new nutraceutical, Colostrinin, sold as Cognisure or Cognase in parts of Europe. I have tried it for my poor memory and concentration and it works a treat! Lots of good research showing it works. Keep up the good work Terry!
There may well be medication to improve memory and concentration, but the variety of Alzheimer's Terry is suffering from means some areas in the back of his brain are shrinking and shriveling - I doubt very much that that medication can prevent that from happening and improve it.
i was soo sad to hear abouthim being diagnosed with alzehiemers, i dint know it had been so long since his diagnosis, and i thought he would stop writing, so ive been trying to make the most of his books, but im so happy to hear he will keep writing, i look forward to reading all his books!
