Original title: 咲 夜 ~親不孝な人間のお話~【東方手書き】
(not sure about the title's meaning in english, mainly because of the 親不孝, so I'll leave it in japanese for now.)
Romaji title: Sakuya ~Oyafukou na Ningen no Ohanashi~
Original video: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14899565

still a rough translation, I appreciate corrections, if necessary.
(Thanks to Cyanistic for helping with the corrections.)

I only put the translations on the video, do not own anything.

Notes:
00:36 - The name "Sakuya" literally means "flowering night".
01:42 - Sixteenth moon = Izayoi

  • Also, am I misreading or does "But salty teas aren't always tasty, right?" sound wrong? It seems to me as if it'd fit better if instead it was "But salty teas don't always taste bad, do they?"

  • @Cyanistic Yes, my english isn't very good, so there may be places where the translation sounds wrong, but I gladly accept corrections.

Then, about your suggestion, with that you're implying that the salty tea taste good, but she says "Shoppai koucha wa yahari oishikunai wa ne", oishikunai means "not tasty", so I don't think she's saying that. With that in mind, if you have a better phrase for this, please comment it, I'll fix the video with your suggestion.

  • have romaji? :X

  • @ZippoRemix7 Hmm, no, but I can make it. I'll add to the description when I finish them.

  • @forsakenhate If that's so, then the person listening to the song must have went "Hey. Sakuya's the loyal dog of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Remilia would outlive her. I could make something of this." and made this beautiful piece.

  • From what I know, the original for this song is about the songwriter losing his pet dog.

And here, we have Sakuya, sometimes portrayed in fan-fic as the loyal servant, or 'dog', to Remilia.

    Subtle connection, or just coincidence?

  • @Shizumi32 I ment, when someone passes away, food made by that person is normally missed. You'd love to just at least taste it one last time. Yes, the tea may be salty. But when it's flavored with memories of laughter and joy. It tastes nice. Remembering all the good times that was accompanied with that food item.

Perhaps I'm over analyzing or something. It's also possible that the tea is worse now that sakuya's gone. Bringing the memory of her death back.

    Am I making sense or?

  • I thought she was going to bite her or give her the hourai elixir... but... but... *sniffle*... :'(

  • @Shizumi32 Thanks, amazing how the pictures were beautiful! :3
