ive been to games where gazza has been at his best and he was as good as anything you would see from messi or ronaldo today , pure genius !

@superdan1875 yea he should have but he was left out for off feild reason and you don't get what i meant. batty was picked even if gazza went battys job was to break up the play. so your saying leave batty at home if so who wins the ball back in midfeild.

I'm quite sure Hoddle could have dropped Batty in favour of Gazza regardless of who took who's place.

@superdan1875 well batty was a diffrent player from gazza it was not a case of take batty or gazza. just like today it would be say take owen or defoe because there kinda the same type you would not take both and leave out a ronney type ect.
