Lee Paxton (me) performing "The Highwayman" on October 26, 2009. This was originally a poem by Alfred Noyes from 1906 (I know I say "1908 about" in the introduction to the video, but I wasn't looking off of any cheat sheets). Nearly 60 years later, Phil Ochs turned it into a folk song, and he included it on his album "I Ain't Marching Anymore" (1965).

I'm currently working on a cover album (I've never really done one of those before), and this is a live example of one of the possible songs which may be on that album. The album will be called "Vultures", and if you're interested, check the following link for updates: http://sassjoy.aesound.com/vultures.shtml

  • Can't really hear your vocals on a lot of this; I can tell you have a good voice, though, and great guitar work. Love Phil Ochs. Going to bookmark you in case you revise. Keep it up!
