Sudan, Abyei News: Border dispute - court ruling on Abyei borders

Abyei, the oil rich region in South Sudan, is one of the most prized and fought over pieces of land in Africa.

The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague has given the Khartoum government in the north of Sudan control of the Heglig oilfields and the Nile oil pipeline in the disputed Abyei region.

Both the Sudanese government and SPLM in Southern Sudan pledged to abide by the ruling of the Abyei Arbitration Tribunal in The Hague.

This is encouraging for stability in Sudan.

How is it that these so-called rich nations go into these so-called poor nations to drill and harvest there rich resource of oil using high priced equipment any yet do nothing for the nation but destroy there lands and ways of life. China is doing this in Sudan and America in many nations. They put more safety on the equipment then the people these governments and companies will let the people starve and die just as long as they keep pumping their country dry of every resource of use to them.

my mums has dies when i was three months , i was only a baby, so i am support my country to get Abyei back...we want Abyei to be part of south Sudan. and no more war, war has to be stop no killing .we should also remember those people who lose their life in the war 50 years ago, ...
