Itzhak Perlman (violin) and Pinchas Zukerman (viola) performing at the 60th anniversary gala of the Israel Philharmonic in 1997. The dialogue at the beginning about the violin being a toy is priceless! Go Pinky! Obviously, this duo owns this piece, bar none. It's also one of the few pieces, along with Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante, that have the viola on an absolutely equal playing field as the violin. A rare treasure indeed!!

    Viola for the win ♥

  • Jewish, European, Black! I don't get It. This is just wonderful music! Can't you consentrate on that? I'm Norwegian (like Halvorsen), but my grandgrandfather was born in Halle (like Händel). This music ( like all music) is for all people and all times.
