Beaver fever TV news blooper anchors can't stop laughing. The anchors are laughing because "the Plague" used to be called beaver fever, beaver fever can also mean that you have a real deep interest in beavers. the word beaver is also a slang term for the vagina. The term beaver fever could be construed as a person who is actively seeking intercourse. because of that the new managers decided not to use the word beaver fever. but the anchors are thinking beaver fever thats why they are laughing.

I just don't get this. "The plague"? What the hell were they supposed to be talking about? And it would be funny if they actually said the word Beaver and that made them laugh. I mean, the joke was right there. They were supposed to stay away from rodents, but don't actually say the word "beaver". This was very badly done.

I think too much is being made of this. It's obvious the teleprompter went down while the girl was reading it. Stage hands and director were probably acting up which in turn gave the whole crew the giggles.

It's obvious that they are just reading news that someone else wrote. If you spot any squirrels, or other rodents that you suspect may have the plague.....nobody knows whether or not the driver was supposed to run over the prisoner -- he was trying to escape in a garbage bag. They read these stories just before the broadcast too, so they had the first laugh already.
