NBC Nightly News produced a segment on the CA Energy Commission's (CEC) proposed regulations to ban hundreds of big screen televisions from being sold in California. The regulation is expected to destroy 4,000 jobs and cost California $47 million a year in lost tax revenue.
Californians for Smart Energy, a growing coalition of small business owners and associations want the CEC to drop this harmful and costly proposal. The coalition strongly supports energy efficiency, but believes that these regulations are unnecessary and harmful to the economy.
