  • The Cathedrals what a group they were. All the way to the end. Thanks to Ernie he is someone I'm sure George was proud of. Ernie is so young here. Does anyone know? Was this the first group he sung with? Thanks for posting.

  • According to a EH&SSQ fan site, Ernie was born 12/12/64. I know he sang for a few years with Squire Parsons & Redeemed before joining the Cathedrals in 1990. This video was recorded in 1990 or early 1991.

  • UPDATE: In a comment on one of the other videos from this performance, someone said that Ernie told them that he had only been with the Cats about one week when this was recorded.

  • I love Signature Sound and all...but, I wish Ernie could still sing like that...

  • I saw them in Morristown Tn back in 1992 and Glen did all four parts in this song and it brought the house down!

  • @GospelPhil Hey Phil, I saw the same thing up in Bloomington, Mn. If I recall, George said he couldn't do it. Great memories....

  • Such harmony!!

  • @SoNofThundeR89 Hmm I see what you mean now, his voice did have a different qualitly back then

  • I saw them in Bloomington Mn that same year and The same thing happened. George Told Glenn to stick to the lead and let him handle the bass. It was awesome...Oh and Glenn did a great job on all 4 parts.....

  • Wow

  • I think some of ernies best vocal stuff was with the cathedrals but charisma wise he is by far better with signature sound

  • i am a HUGE ernie fan, and yes it is amazing...i just dont recall hearing anything like this outta him lately

  • ohhhh yeah. ernie's still definitely got it. it boggles how a man can hit so many high notes in one lifetime, and still be able to keep on knocking them out.

  • can ernie still hit that note that hits at the end of this?
