It is a superb film, a critique of Media Exploitation and Cultural Imperialism. The rape scenes are more disturbing to me than the animal killings, but I don't think I would call it scary. Disturbing and provocative, yes. If you want to see a SCARY Cannibal film, try DEATH LINE (Gary Sherman, 1972) or FRIGHTMARE (Pete Walker, 1974)- and they're both British, I'm proud to say! No animal killings or rape scenes either.....

Watch Into the jungle. A little slow in the beginning but a really great cannibal movie. Not sure if its real but great!

They really don't make horror like this classic anymore :-( Oh btw, you need tae review the classic psychological horror/thriller Manhunter (1986), with the stunning performance by Brian Cox as Dr. Hannibal Lecktor. Much better than Anthony Hopkins + the best film of the series :-)

Glad everyone else is suggesting Cannnibal Ferox. The most fucked up movie ever made? Salo: 120 Days of Sodom, or A Serbian Film. Do you think if a cannibal turned into a zombie, it would attack other zombies? ;-)
