@lilpud1 I am using eneos 5w30 API certified oil and its a excellent oil. to people, use what the manufacturers stated what to use.
-
@hwhhww because their 10-30 isnt the same oil, like its a different base and the reg. eneos its like a synth blend..and their 0-50 and 0-50 sustina, dont sheer like most other oils. yea i wouldnt believe someone would pick up 10 or even 15 whp i would call them out. but since tests were done on my car infront of my own eyes plus have the dyno sheet. all i got to say is try it .. if you dont like it then w/e. but dont bash something you have never tried or did research on. its a great oil!!

@lilpud1 Why not use their 10w-30 oil if thats what your engine calls for? It's still hard for me to believe that a THICKER oil frees up HP by reducing parasitic drag. Why they don't use 30 weight? Because it sheers down really quickly. its almost impossible to get 10 whp on a dyno just from a simple oil change. The oil you were using before must've been used low quality oil or you're just bullshitting about your dyno tests.

@hwhhww calls for 10-30, and thats just what i put in it. was doing a comparison on hp from different oils on a buddy's dyno. eneos 0w-50 add 15 extra whp... pour in hp.. we did 8 back to back pulls and the numbers never dropped due to heat. so after that, been buying it ever since. im running the new eneos sustina 0w-50 (about $88 for a case of 6) still couldnt be happier

@lilpud1 Why 0w-50? Whats your specified weight? For instance, in the evo, the specified weight is 5w-30 from the factory and these dumbasses use 0w-50 because their 30 weight isn't actually a 30 weight and too damn thin. Have you looked at the Total Base-stock Numbers of their oil or any of their UOA's?
-
@hwhhww please explain...ive been running eneos 0w-50 for about 75k miles...not one problem
-
this shit is bad for your car, dont run it
-
trying to market this oil is a waste of time the company don't advertise. (2)
Old-school car fanatics and some uninformed mechanics will still tell you that you HAVE to religiously change your oil every 3K miles in order to avoid catastrophic engine failures. this oil can't make the grade in EVO'S OR SUBARU IT WILL SPIN your BEARING..

Aproximately, motor oil cools 40% of the motor the other 60% is by the cooling system.
-
because the oil weight is 5w50 duh, eneos has 5w30 to catch up the torque
Supposedly the top HP run was finessing through first few gears then using a higher gear to push hard. So top torque was not recorded at the lower gear.
