This short video is a stop animation created with several hundred digital still images, paint and paper. It was inspired by the powerful one paragraph prose piece by Robert Haas, which confronts the complex relationship between body image, sexuality and illness. While not autobiographical, I consider this to be a personal video, encapsulating many of my inner feelings about the beauty and tragedy of life.
Oh my god, fantastic piece, FANTASTIC,
And I loved your illustration. It was beautiful.

Lovely. Hass is one of my favorite poets and this is actually one of his poems I love best. Your reading of it is very good (although, in my head, that response "I'm sorry, but I don't think I could" is not quite so callous, but more detached and laced with the slightest shadow of self-loathing). Your animation was beautifully interpretive. Thank you for sharing this.
