  • Yes, it is Frisky Jim!

Checked it against Dean Johnston's version from Traditional Music from the Ozarks: Volume II On the Springfield Plain

    Thank you!

  • I'm sorry, i really don't know the name of the tune. I was in hopes that someone would post it here possibly.

  • It's what Dick Hutchison and Bob Christeson called "Frisky Jim". Me too.

  • this man was my grandma's uncle she told me storys about him...he played alot with my great uncle pete stinnit.... he made his record the fiddalers dream with him....my grandma played the piano with him all the time

  • this man right hear was my great great uncle...and pete stinnit was my great uncle .....musics in my blood

  • Cyril Stinnett was the best old-time FIDDLE (not violin) player ever. His best number in my opinion is the "Red Apple Rag". National Champion in 1966 (I believe). I heard him live once, in 1976.

  • Is it Frisky Jim?

  • Great old time fiddling, but what's the name of the tune?

  • Do you know the name of this tune?

  • I know this tune and play it, but can't remember the name. ?

    Very good!
