It seems this tailback was due to broken down vehicle in lane 1 under the North Circular flyover.

  • Yep Lovelly! Far faster in the usual Jams than 4 wheeled vehicles!

  • @RocketScientist79

    Indeed and much less likely to contribute to the jams too!

  • So, what you are showing us in this video is, that it is more efficient to cycle than to sit in traffic?!? ; > }

  • @busog97641

    Well I guess I am, if you see it from one perspective. If you look at it from another, perhaps I'm showing you how this lot added a full 10 minutes to my usual journey time. ;)

  • Have you ever cycled on the Bow roundabout where two cyclists have died recently? Is it really that dangerous?

  • @Abu451

    Yes I have cycled on the Bow RAB, once eastbound - never again as most of the traffic will be eagerly trying to cross your path to the A12 northbound - and only westbound when there are strong winds. The prevailing winds are westerlies, so in the morning, during reliable daylight hours I may use the RAB instead of the flyover to save pedalling uphill into the wind. In the evening, that wind will help rather than hinder so I won't take the risk of using the RAB.
