The 4Gb is not ram when you turn your pc off the data in the ram will be deleted. Its called a soild state drive.

How does it work for you with SP3, IE8 and all the latest updates? Mine runs slow as heck even with 8gb SSD and 1gb of Ram. It seems XP SP3 brought these to a screeching halt.

I now have the eee pc 1008h - which has the 160 gig hard drive.
Runs very fast with Windows XP. I use the google chrome browser which is also very fast.

i have the asus bt the browser id rly slow is there a way u can speed it up

It depends on which version Asus you have. If it has windows, upgrade the Ram to at least 1qig for faster performance. Easy to do.

They sell many versions, some with Windows, some with Linux.
Sounds like you have the Linux version.
