im so sorry to hear about this news. As a student nurse, i think that saving lives is VERY crucial and does not need to be during office hours. and blood donation? yes you need approval from the family and the doctor but the family has already consented to it and the doctor or the hospital should still let them give their blood, even though it is not on office hours. Life is more important than work. a pity some people do not see that.
