NatAllie - The New Season #36

They dressed and put the other stuff together. Nat went ahead.
Chris looked around and was about to go as something catched her eye. Half covered by a pillow laid a wallet, it was Nat's. She took it. On the top looked a part of a photo out. She could see the head of a younger Nat, smiling at something or someone. His smile was affectionately. She sighed and crawled back towards the ladder. Nat was already down there. Before she reached the ladder she couldn't stand it any longer. Chris wasn't curious but that was too seductive. She stopped and pulled the photo out. There was Allie. She sat on Nat's lap and looked at him the same way. Christina closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, then she stuffed the photo back and climbed down.
Nat wait there, he stroked the cat, it purred.
"Hey, here you are. What took you so long?" He smiled.
"Oh...er...nothing...I...I guess that's yours?" She said and showed him the wallet.
"Yeah thanks", he mumbled.
They scurried over the yard to the back door as the sun was rising. They stood in front of the door and looked at each other for a moment. It was kinda awkward. Christina rose her hand and pulled a blade of hay out of his hair. Her look was sad. Nat wanted to say something but she cut him off.
"When you won't get caught you better be fast upstairs. It's a ranch we get up early", she said quick and went inside.
Nat felt like taking a shower. The hay seemed to be everywhere. As he checked his look in the bathroom mirror he was glad that nobody have seen him before. His shirt was wrong buttoned, and the blade of hay which Chris took away wasn't the only one there. He sighed but he smiled a bit.
"How did anybody sleep at night?", Henry asked. It was a murmur with 'Fine' 'Well' and 'OK' around huge oak table in the dining room. Christina slurped a spoon of Corn Flakes with no expression. Henry smiled. "Guess you slept in the barn as always in hot nights?"
"Daaad!" She said embarrassed. "Mmmm...", she nodded, blushed slightly and rolled her eyes. Nat almost chocked. He and Christina exchanged a furtive glance. It was weird. To their relief Polly started a talk about the weather. It seemed to become a hot day again. Nat had to smile a bit as he took a bit from his toast, Henry was right the night was hot in more than one way.
"Everything's packed, right Alex?", Polly looked at her youngest wondering. Alex nodded.
"So is everybody ready to hit the road again?" She asked and looked around in a motherly way.
The Band and all their luggage stood in the entrance hall ready to go.
"Fine then, half an hour at the bus everybody!"
"Mom can I go swimming for a last time?"
Before Polly could say anything Alex was already running through the living room and was pulling his shirt off, while he yelled "Thaaanks Mom!" He was already in the garden and they only heard a big splash. Boris and Jake shrugged and run behind him. Misty and Polly looked at each other and shook their heads.
"Boys," they both sighed.
Nat stood there leaning on an Victorian cabinet and was staring at the polished wooden floor. He wanted to talk to Christina but she was nowhere to find. Polly looked at him.
"At least you are a bit more mature Nat."
He looked up and smiled wry.
"No, not really", he simply said and run outside too.
Chris the bass player and Michael just laughed and started to carry the suitcases and bags outside.
He jumped into the pool and joined the water fight between Alex and Boris. Suddenly out of the corner of his eyes he noticed someone at the edge of the pool. It looked like Christina. He stopped and wiped his eyes. As he looked up again she was gone. There was only a pile towels left. Nat hopped out of the pool took a towel and picked his shirt while he slipped in his flip flops. He ran.
"Hey", he said out of breath. Nat found her. Christina was at the stable brushing a horse in a box. She smiled amused as she saw him. You could hear a quiet dribble from his shorts.
"You drop? Didn't you see the towels?" She looked at him wondering and grinned.
"Er...yes." He smiled apologizing and stroked through his wet hair. "I wanted to say goodbye."
Chris gave him a glance and nodded. She just finished took off the halter closed the box and put the grooming stuff away.
"You go now?", she said quiet.

@InsaneButFunx43x I will take my time =). A part of the next epi is already written but I won't be here until Thursday. I'm camping...haha. So I guess you have to be patient with me.
