  • Bigger dudes play a different role than fitter skinnier. Amtgard has seen it's share of larger dudes who are warlords. Now, I'm not talking morbidly obese here. But dudes who have girth though. It's not so much about being faster as much as it's about being able to anticipate attacks and being able to respond to them intelligently.

The best way I can explain it is take a look at the pole arm video with Axgar and Warblade. Both are warlords and both come with much different styles.

  • @HeadRage o.o I understand your analogy and kinda like the ending of your statement though yours is a little more recent then a year ago. Some of the bigger people I know in Ampgard are really fast and will keep you on your toes. P:

  • @Becomewhatimightbe They can be good, if they learn how to be fast past all their fat...but I think of it like batteries...I guess

An experienced fat guy might be...a 9 volt, sure he has a charge (that being is fighting capability) but a normal guy, or even someone athletic is more like one of those lantern batteries.

Bad analogy...batteries suck, but I hope I made sense...although that was a year ago, I don't even think you'd care anymore. The answer is yes, fat people are more limited.

  • I see a lot of fat people in amtgard, no offense to anyone... but how effective is being physically fit in amtgard combat? Also is there any "limit" to how good your fighting abilities can be?

  • Junk the swearing, terrible in an instructional video.

    Everything else was excellent.

  • Stop complaining and pay some fuckin' attention to the fighting fuckin' techniques. He's fuckin' trying to teach you something.

  • Nice use of "Fuck" throughout
