This building looks like a sure-fire collapse in the next serious quake here... with its spindly, tall, unbraced supports on one side at its base. I can't imagine that it wouldn't tip over when those supports buckle from the quake.

  • where is the scary building now?

  • How is it scary? Thats what any skyscraper looks like without walls and floors which provide no actual structual support looks like.

  • You want a scary building? Then go stand under one of the thousands of soft story wooden residential buildings in the city. They'll pancake in an instant and catch fire the next second. This skyscraper will survive the next big one.

  • Thumbs UP if you think 9/11 WASN'T an inside job, thumbs DOWN if you think it was an inside job. (IT WASN'T AN INSIDE JOB. NOW YOU KNOW TO THUMBS UP)

  • As scary as it looks, what you are actually seeing are the support columns exposed. So with the exception of the missing horizontal segments that compose flooring, and the strengthening that comes from that, most buildings would look like this if you took the windows and inner shell fixtures out.

  • :/ Sadly its probably one of the most earthquake-proof buildings in San Francisco.

  • @marshallstax the whole building stands on giant springs & al the columns (there are a lot of them) are reinforced with special concret! I don't think it would collaps, but it looks weird!

  • @MaxJax It was definitely not an exploding car or the trusses that i heard! It was well timed; 3 rattle sounds followed by 3 big very deep explosions twice and than the tower came down! You can even hear it in the naudet north tower collaps video, but much much quiter(all this sounds ar blocked at the videos)! I still have no explanation!
