I made a video paying homage to Eddie Van Halen's Cathedral. Its a lesson and discussion just because I think its a great piece of music.

  • Its a very simple delay. Listen to the video! I am using the delay off of my GT-8, a very rudimentary unit even in its hayday. Its just a basic delay, set to 3-4 repeats, forgot the ms, maybe 375-400.

  • Nice One !!

Especially for giving the delay settings.

Can you do another brief video on how to play the first segment just to get an idea and feel for it, including do's 'n' dont's.

    Thanks

    Ken (UK)

  • Sure I can make another brief one one the fingerings. Its basically the same pattern up and down the neck.

  • i've been trying for ages (well 14 minutes) to get the delays right, thanks man

  • Nice beak neck Pacer, I got an '86 Focus 1000 in white thats changed to a beautiful cream color like yours. They're sweet guitars.

One thing I noticed is your delay setting seems to be set perfectly for Run Like Hell from Pink Floyd. Watch the Pulse Live version on here and you'll see what I mean.

  • nice cover, you will do good as a teacher, still there is a lot to do before becoming a disciple of evh, you have to paint you guitar

  • what delay pedal you using?

  • Wat equipment r u using and wat brand

  • So, I have to set the delay to the setting you gave us in the video, and then while laying, you have to correctly manuever the volume knob. But I didn't catch what you said about the tuner. Oh, btw, when you were messing around with the chords, it sounded like pink floyd lol

  • nice video matt damon

  • very good job guy, i like this!
