I'm far from an expert but I've seen practice bags on Bannatyne's website. There's no drones at all. You could probably use your own blowpipe and chanter or pick up a cheaper plastic blowpipe and chanter just for that bag, especially if you are taking it backpacking. Don't want to destroy a nice wood set. But if you already have the pieces, it has to be cheaper than buying a full practice set.

@PIPERJIM08 Thanks for the constructive criticism. Not the best marks I've ever been handed by a judge but not the worst either... ;-)
I'm well aware this isn't the best playing you'll ever hear. It was a random muckaround 6 and a half years ago that my GF of the time decided to film. I certainly wouldn't take playing of that standard to Cowal or suchlike!
Feel free to upload a video of yourself so I can get some pointers. I'm not a regular player but always happy to learn. :-)

@bagpipesparky X-D hehehehe Aye, I know.
Old pipe major used to go on and on about me playing everything at 100mph. I'm nowhere near that quick these days. Probably all the better for it as well.
