@LoveThatDeathMetal Dissection is cited as a Melodic Black Metal band, actually (if we're gonna play the genre game). I'm not sure if they were the first, but they are one of the most memorable of the bands (canceling out their last album which is much more like Melodic Death Metal funny enough).
