I can hardly believe that Sweet Judy Blue Eyes is now 72 years old (May 1939). I remember so well, just back from Vietnam in November 1970 and by June of 1971 I was sharing a terrific apartment with my bud, Mike, in Seal Beach, California and playing this 45 RPM single until the needle fell off my turntable. I was 24 then and Judy was 32 ~ I fear we have fallen victim to The Circle Game but this lady's voice was the sweetest thing I ever heard, back in the day.

The song was a favorite of my best friend Ray, who died tragically in a boating accident in 1987, while doing what he loved best: fishing.

She's so good, amazing tonal quality, breath support... Good soulful music like this doesn't know age, era, class, gender, race...so timeless.
he loves his damned old rodeo as much as he loves me...so endearing...love this song!!

AH, the song that spoke what my heart was saying way back when I was 16 & he was 26. I haven't heard it since then & brought back the love I felt. Wonderful times. I'm 54 now & have lived several lifetimes, but music from my youth stil runs thru my veins

Just beautiful! A Canadian penned classic, performed by an American icon about a returning Viet Nam veteran about the greatest sport RODEO.

@MrRonnieG It was 1969, and I was back from Vietnam. This song sounded like the soundtrack to what was taking place in my life back then. Trying to figure out just what the hell had happened and which way my life was going to go. Peace, brother.

@MrRonnieG I got home 9 Nov 72. I had a similar feeling but Linda Ronstadt was my favorite.
Are you kidding me? This is a GREAT live version. Made me cry. What a voice. I love this song. I need to share this with my teenage daughters.
