Using the mod it feels much more accurate. When you combine these improvements with already stunning graphics and environment, this can potentially be one of the greatest sims.

Also I do use the G27 setup correctly and do want realism in a game/sim. (no I can not bring myself to wear racing booties in my own place.. that's a little too far) Forza 3 has the passion of driving someone's mom's station wagon around a corner. (so I've done) if I wanted to look at shiny cars and not have fun driving them... I'd go in my garage, get in my car, start it up with the door closed and inhale. (well my parking garage in NYC) Console or PC . . Gameplay and immersion comes first

Sorry.. Physics come first to us and NFS Shift lacks compared to others in this category.. It is fun.. I have a blast racing it..Just like I do Dirt 2.. They're all great track day titles.. If I want a real sim, Im on iRacing, rFactor or Richard Burns Rally.

Oh my, please tell me you're not comparing NFS: Shift's physics to Dirt 2's... Although I'm pretty sure you meant the overall presentation and how you become immersed in the game.

I think you gave a great review. Although I'm barely getting into sim racing, I'm currently welding my own first pod to mount the seat, wheel, and pedals.

Therefore, I've been playing Shift on PC with a 360 controller. It runs flawless at 1080p max everything on my current setup. Let's hope their next title excels.

Dirt 2's physics are just as good as NFS Shift or better in my opinion.. Shift's physics are pretty good..You can overdrive the cars too much and do un realistic things. Forza 3 or any of the serious PC sims set the benchmark that Shift hasn't hit in my opinion. Great/ fun game, but not a sim like iRacing.

Also.. not sure how you can judge the physics with a 360 gamepad. :-)

Interresting placement of the "one click install" icon at 15:48. I am pretty sure that was done on accident.

Not a bad game, but the input laaaaaaaag is almost killing it. The faster cars are very hard to control.

I love that you guys brought up the stupid track decorations in this game. You said, when you know what these tracks really look like, it pretty much ruins it to see carnival rides, big domes, and strange NFS paraphenalia. It actually turned me away from playing this, it reminded me that it's an arcade game. I think if you set the wheel right, the physics are good but as you say, the tire physics and steering aren't right. I'm really hoping shift 2 doesn't have all the stupid track decorations

This game is CRAP,all cars behaves like they were on ice, you are not steering the car but you are sliding with the back, even front wheel drive. I am so disappointed cause the graphics and courses are amazing.You should have the bumpcamera for best experience(not cam from the back).The car in the games behave so far away from a car in reality. It is a shame, like shift 1 i throw in the garbage. Just try forza 3, that is how a car behave, mix forza3 with nfs_shift2 graphics and courses.

NFS shift is what i played while waiting for GT5. too badi cant get iracing cuz i hav a mac. :(
