Great spirit! I thank you for blessing me on this evening of great misery....You are my strength, my light, the one who guides me when the moon sleeps! Though my ancestral line and oral history have long since forgotten me in flesh, I've been guided to you despite the best efforts of 6 generations to direct me according to the color of my skin instead of the drumbeat of my soul I am eternally grateful that you do not forget.

I stood outside yesterday at work and enjoyed the wind as it blew over me and felt the presence of the great mystery. I am part Great Plains Wolf, For I hunt in my sleep and at times part hawk, As I soar upon those same winds in my dreams. And though I am white, My heart flows with Native American love for all things of nature.
