your body needs to be streamlined straight. you can peek up above the waterline once or twice, to check your position in relation to buoys or markers. you need to tilt your whole body to the side and start with your elbow out of the water leading the hand, fingers first into water and pull back. one arm must always be in the water each time, cutting a path for your body to go through.

me too. I've read that for Triathlon you're not supposed to use your legs. I save them for the bike and run, especially in long distance races.

i try to use as little of my legs as possible. therefor when i get out of the water arms are abit sore but got fresh legs for the bike and run
