Awesome emulation running at full speed and resolution. It's really hard to tell the diff between GBA and NDS from SNES games apart sometimes.

If you like this video, check out other gp2x ones here:

  • I've got Squigesnes on my GP2X but games dont run at full speed,Is there anything I can do bout this?

  • first make sure you've got the latest versions. then, make sure you're overclocked appropriately above 200mhz.

  • google for "wiki gp2x" and you'll be able to get a quick 1 page summary that will get you started. it's a linux based handheld made for emulation.

  • Hey, can you make a vid of PocketSNES 6?

  • At some point these videos all need to be updated. the new snes emulators for the gp2x are much faster

Top Comments

  • The games are running way to fast.

  • The DS is crap for emulation. Lame low resolution screen can't display ROMs in full without cropping down or cuting out pixels. The GP2X has bigger proper game resolution screen.

The GP2X can do full speed NeoGeo, Sega CD/Genesis, SNES (this video is OLD), Turbo Grafx CD (Drac-X!), NES, Amiga, ST, MAME (arcade) and more. The DS can't do all of these at full speed OR full resolution, sorry.

  • @Neocasko I can respect that. There are lots of old games that the makers are retired and not trying to resell the games to make more money for new games, and there is the "I already bought the original I don't want to buy it again" excuses, and I'm actually ok with that, what burns me is these arn't tutorials for doing that, there's no explanation even of a "code" or "personal rules," It's all "check it out free games just do this" and it makes buying the game seem dumb 2 any1 who watches.

  • @lvlidnight3clipse Wow, that sucks balls. Even I think that is WAY too far. I like to think there can be balance. Emulation should NEVER disappear. But at the same time, the original creators should be supported as well. That's why I do both as well as spread the word about video game too. I have a clear conciseness in that regard.

  • @Neocasko it's not about "being legit" or any kind of purist notion, it's about supporting the people that made the game in the first place. Like Donkey Kong country 1/2/3. The original team didn't get to make the 4th because the attempts to put it on virtual console and GBA failed, but there was a torrent out for the 3 games that was 10,000 seeded and an estimated 5 million downloaded. The original team from rare lost the project and we didn't get a DK4 for another 5 years and it sucked balls.

  • @lvlidnight3clipse I personally emulate AND get games physically. I don't care if I can't find it in the latter. Besides, I feel as though most people who complain about emulators are all those purist pricks that think they are better than everyone else because of that, like with Pat the NES Punk. I make my own personal rules regarding it and I think the whole "must buy real thing to be legit" complaint is full of s#@t. Play how you like and have fun. That's what I say. :)

  • @Neocasko it means that emulation is illegal technology taking games (often purchasable on the current market) is for douches. If a game is so amazing that even 10 years after it's made it's still worth playing, then it's worth paying for. Sega recently created the "genesis best 40" for all major consoles for $30. it was a huge failure. The original designers hoping for new budgets for new games didn't get jack shit cause emulation of their games is so common there are youtube tutorials. F that.

  • @lvlidnight3clipse What in the world does that mean?

  • A little bit fast here and there for some games but it's good Emulation.

  • emulators are for tools.

  • if anything, this vid shows how inadequate this machine is at running snes roms.

  • People are complaining about the GP2X F-100's Analog Stick and Battery Life, For Battery Life better get a rechargable AA Battery a lot is available now these days. now for the Analog Stick, there are lot's of D-Pad Mods and the new F-200 replaced the stick with a D-Pad and it can still be modded.
