@lotusbuds2000 I find that hard to believe. I think he is simply distancing himself from an icon that he knows was a major influence on him, subconsciously throughout his training or perhaps consciously. His technique with Bach is WAY too reminiscent of Gould for it to be a coincidence. They are different, but the similarities are massive and many. The only difference I think is perhaps that Fray is a little more fluid. I think he is simply embarrassed that people draw the apt comparison.

Okay, David Fray is now my favorite classical pianist, he spews magic as though he wrote the piece himself. Thanks for the contribution!

He's a genius. I just love the way he plays.

OK. I have to admit I'm arriving late to the David Fray party. But man oh man -- this guy is a rock star! He loves the piano and he loves music so much. Talk about a fire from within. Makes me proud to be a member of the human race!

David Fray is a major talent, surely one of finest young pianists before the public.
Please record the Partitas David!.

@saltburner2 It´s probably a coincidence. Fray seems far too occupied with music itself to bother about his possible likeness to other musicians.
Look at his hands! Oh my god, he is sooooo beautiful.
I´m sorry, I couldn´t hold it back.
Excellent musician!
