Why do people post HD tests on youtube???
-
what's the point uploading this video, in low quality, with a huge black border like this, to show off a high quality camera.

That would explain why I'm seeing this darn border in so many videos...
How do you like your camera btw? Apparently it's just about the best consumer camera on the market.
How compact is it, and how do you carry it around?

Video was uploaded before HD was readily available and the updated to the wider screen format.

I have this it's very good.

wow

8GB about 1 hour.

how many time can rec at top quality on 16gb sdhc?
thank's...

um, to the poster of the video and anyone else asking, the song is Junior Boys' "so this is goodbye" from the album with the same name, it's not M83.
-
It's not Canon's "fault". It's just new standard all cameras will use one day. Sony and Panasonic got the same thing.

Wide audience. I doubt there are as many users on any other video-sharing site.
Yes.. I would also like to know the name of the song in the background please.

Hey, what do you edit on? How do you download and play on a hard drive? I tested this camera at Best Buy and brought my own SD card. However, when I got it home, I couldn't open it with VideoStudio 11, Windows Movie Maker (of course), not even with my video converters. I have Vista and a new (2 months old) computer that meets all the specs. What gives?

Phil, this is where I faced issues also. Here's what you need to do. When you purchase the camera, you get some software that transfers the files from the camera or SD card to your harddrive. I dont know if this is converting the files but its seems to be. Now you can edit them in Sony Vegas which can use them natively, or if you want to use Adobe Premiere or something else you'll need to convert to another format. I ended up switching over to a Mac setup with Final Cut Pro. It works awesome now
