National POW/MIA Recognition Day was setup to honor Americans POWs and MIAs. There are ceremonies held at the Pentagon and Congress has mandated the flying of the National League of Families POW/MIA flag over all federal building. As part of this occasion K4MIA, Kilo 4 Missing In Action was setup to be part of this years ceremonies honoring those Americans who have sacrificed so much for their country. This special station has almost been shut down because of severe RFI caused by FPL power lines. Florida Power and Light (FPL) was first notified 8 months ago of this interference from their faulty equipment radiating power line noise. You can look at other youtube videos I have posted and see that there has been little improvement over the last 8 months. I have now filed an official complaint with the FCC. I will post additional videos as this progresses.

  • I will try to explain better. FPL MANAGEMENT has done nothing to correct this in a timely manner. Reported to FPL beginning of the year. ARRL sent Certified letter no response. Months later send a tech out. Fixed a pole. No help. Months later fixed another. Sent sound clips to help, no response. Last month I got a new technician. Kevin has been trying to get this fixed. Should have said FPL as done VERY LITTLE to correct the problem. Send your call I write more offline. Mike K4MIA
