I used to hear an electricity buzz near the hinges of my macbook.. and when I hear that buzz, the screen backlight alternates according to that buzz (like a light bulb that going to burn soon)

Now that buzz have gone,, and the screen has no backlight, i can see it working well but it is like if it is all the way dimmed.. when I change the brightness nothing happens.

what could be the problem?

is it the inverter and/or the inverter power cable?

It sounds like you might need to replace the inverter and possibly the inverter and the inverter power cable. You can purchase both of these from our company by calling 18003155915.

I have installed all this and my screen is so dim i can barely see it the brightness is all the way off any suggestions.

FYI, The blue paint on the screw is a form of Loctite, that's why you would strip the screw head if you don't apply the right pressure. Use a dab of alcohol to break up the Loctite if you're having trouble.

I'm trying to fix a macbook (same as the one in the vid). The screen is black even though it's on, but when you shine a light on it you can see the desktop and so on. I've noticed that when I adjust the brightness the screen is normal for 1 to 30 seconds, so the light can't be broken. The f1 and f2 keys don't work as well. What should I do? Could this have anything to do with the inverter?

Ok, so i just got pissed and hit my mac, and the scree dosnt work. Like, it kinda dose, like i can see what im doing, but there has to be sunlight to see. so what do i do?

My 2008 macbook screen won't stay on for more than 30 seconds if the brightness is at normal levels. If I keep it at the very lowest dimness level, it will work for 30 minutes or so after which I give it a few minutes rest, then repeat.

Any ideas? Thank you for posting this video - very helpful.
