...The shortage is all caused by fear inspired gun buyers & fear inspired ammo hoarders. And what do they fear? Things that go bump in the night and just about everything else.

...Frightened, gullible gun ninnies who watch only Fox News and believe the dittohead parrots. Etc....

Those guys are getting rich turning you types into quivering bowls of jelly. They are pros at this.

You gullible fraidycats have my ammo, and I want it back.

Funny, I've been able to buy most types of ammo for several months now. .380's are way too expensive still. I just can't see paying $35 a box for baby 9's. I mostly passed the shortages by doing skeet and trap instead of rifle and pistol. Like xGothimox said, never a shortage of shotshells.

I'll pass on commenting on all your talk about fear, other than to say it sounds a bit like a liberal parrot.

The FBI says they did over 7million NICS background checks in the last 6 months. More than a million people are buying guns every month and I bet many of these people are first time gun buyers. All these people need ammo for their new guns plus many long time gun owners are stocking up fearing possible new gun and ammo restrictions. I don't see things getting much better. If the gun haters really begin to push for more gun bans or gun control then unfortunately I think it will only get worse.

I think I had 3 purchases in the last 6 months myself. The anti-gun weenie Dumbass-crats in Congress are waiting for some kind of tragedy to use as fuel before they start up their anti-gun agenda. Something to keep too many people from getting pissed at them and costing them the next election.

I heard a rumor that the 'classification' of ammunition is going to be changed to 'explosives' and won't be availible at places like Walmart anymore.

The media propaganda is that its due to high demand..... Thats bullshit..... They also try to point to Obama's election as the reason.... More Bullshit.... If anyone hasnt been paying attention, when Obama was getting elected in Nov the US FInancial system was also {and still is} on the verge of collapsing.... 90 percent of US Ammo is made by ATK... and ATK has a contract that states that it must fill Gov orders first... So the Gov simply placed huge orders to choke off the civilian supply
