  • @stormbowler900 Look at what Felix did at 19. Teheran is an excellent prospect and is impressing tonight in his high-A debut, but Felix was vastly superior at the same age. The stuff is comparable, but the edge in numbers favors Felix by quite a bit.

  • @MrRCOLA he has always been favorably compared to felix hernandez...some scouts go as far as saying that teheran is better than felix was at the same age...this kid is going to be something really really special

  • @MrRCOLA Probably in 2 years, he'll replace Lowe if i had to say. Vizcaino as well, if Vizcaino and Teheran are as good as they should be along with Hanson and JJ, wow.

  • does anyone know when he might be in the MLB cause if its soon we could have a rotation with him tommy tim derek JJ. that a VERY good rotation

  • i heard john hart compare him to johan santna i think it was it might not be johan but it was someone good like him

  • Despite the shoulder tendinitis issue, it looks like his mechanics are pretty solid, actually.

He's separating with his hands, not his elbows. His PAS elbow stays below his PAS shoulder at all times...and never behind the plane of both shoulders. He's not over-pronating (he shows the ball to 3rd, not 2nd). His timing is sound. The only thing I dont like is that he's a little closed on plant.

And velocity comes from the lower-body torque, not push-off. The back foot should trail, not push.

  • I'm a little concerned about that elbow whip he has at the end of his fastball, considering his injury history.

  • Well he should throw from a high 3/4 deliver if he wants to get rid of the that cross body finish. I think it'll be easier for him to throw from a higher slot and have him pitch at Mississippi for a few seasons and bring him up to Gwinett for a season, and bring him up when needed.

  • he does not look neither vasquez or smoltz! His delivery is not that fuid and he is across body.

He is a hugh prospect with bog tools. but from what i see on the video has to work a lot on mechanics

  • This kid has a nice calm balanced wind up. I think he needs to push off harder with that back leg of his to get the full swing ge needs to add extra MPH on his pitches.

Julio looks similar to Javier Vazquez, and John Smoltz with that fluid delivery. A few mire years and a Braves starter leaves.. Phone call to the Braves right away.
