A rough clip from scene 7; still needs some cleanup and a couple settling frames.

An unusual clip in its length and technique; a 3D reference was used to get the rotation/zoom roughed in and then the animation was layered on top of that.

Note: we do not need voice actors at this time.

  • is this a movie or episodable series? plz answer!

  • @Cynderrox2000 This has actually been answered multiple times (and is in our channel and on our website). It's a full length feature film in progress.

  • how many animators are working on this film?

  • @shatteringglass Not as many as we'd like. We've got about 4 live ones at the moment. But we're making far more rough animation progress than we've made well, ever.

  • I have a quick question: This is done using pencil and paper, right? I just got a light box and I'm still getting used to the whole tracing over pencil thing [I've used computer programs until now]. Any advice on how to develop a pencil-drawn animation? :'3

  • @epicxpegasus Yes, this was just pencil and paper. There's not a whole lot of difference between the two methods when you're using a lightbox. You might be interested in looking up "flipping" though, it's a way of holding your papers such that to flip back and forth between them, and you don't really use the light shining through. It's hard to explain briefly. You might be interested in the forum "Animation sandbox" on the Wolf forums. Marj, I believe, describes flipping there.

  • Wow! I LOVE the style, the lip sinc and the beautiful voice acting! Wonderful work!

  • he kinda reminds me of Simba. "you said you'd alway be there for me! but your not!" when he's talking to his father, how he regrets what happened in his past. :3 this reminds me of that scene XD

  • I love how the camera scrolls around him. It makes it look something like a Disney animation. :)

  • This is actually very good, both in animation and voice acting. I'm interesting in seeing the final piece.
