Dave puts a ton of work into this maxum boat project. This is part 1 that shows repairs from the floor to re-framing for seats. So watch as dave pulls this together and part 2 shows the pay-off.

  • Hey Dave. Not to sound like a dick, or take away from your project... but.. I guess I just have a couple of suggestions for you. 1.Probably not the best idea to use particle board for your deck (it will act like a sponge when water hits it, esp. with carpet). 2. Your deck is a structural member of the boat and needs to be tabbed to the hull sides with fiberglass for strength. 3. you should look at your stringers, as they did not look too great. It's a safety hazard to redesign the structure.

  • you should have done it the right way. take out every thing and than new stringer and deck. clean out all that foam and fiberglass every thing back in you should use fiberglass not adhesive you should use screws to but the deck down.

  • you did have a hose connected right

  • I refurbished a 81 Basstracker about 4 yrs ago. It wasnt as much work as you put in your boat but after you finish and take it out to enjoy it, I cant find words to decribe the feeling!! I got numerous compliments on the upgrades and the condition...looked just like a 2005 when it was done, saved a ton of money and loving it!!!!

  • great job Dave

  • Didn't it run when you bought it?
