  • @MrSynckt ..I didn't look in Wikipedia ,I looked in several dictionaries and used common sense. What I know a belief to be is an opinion which one believes is true Again if I say for example I think that aliens do not exist, that is a belief or an opinion which I hold to be true. Unless you have evidence to back up the opinion that God definitely does not exist then it takes as much faith to believe in the non-existence of God as it does to believe His existence

  • @marmackk I notice you've must've been looking at the Wikipedia page for "belief", but you must have also noticed that, in the list on the right-hand side, "Truth" is listed as a separate item to "Belief".

Atheists do not "believe" anything without evidence that brings the topic as close as possible (if not entirely) to truth. Believing something without a shred of evidence is called faith, which is for the weak minded. The answers are there, you're just too scared of your "God" to look.

  • It really annoys me that every religious argument starts off totally fine, then within about 2 seconds goes from fair to totally insane.

  • can't stand this arguments, are so lame, I mean, he is so wrong

  • @Haizum74 ..well I understand what atheist means. It means a belief that there are no deities or a lack of belief that deities exist. If I believe that something does not exist then that is my opinion or belief.Call me an ignorant idiot..lol if it makes you feel better about your reasoning.I will continue to say that atheism is a belief, because it is a belief whether you like it or not.Have a nice day.

  • @marmackk Because you fail in understanding what atheist means. I fully understand what the word belief is and it does not apply to atheism. You cannot have a belief in something you reject based on zero evidence. I will carry on calling you an ignorant idiot simply because you are. You will wake up tomorrow morning despite that.

  • @Haizum74 where in my last post did I say the English Language and the words moral and amoral are wrong.Do not put words in my mouth .If you bothered to take time to understand the English Language you would see what the meaning of the word belief is.So it is I who is not wrong,I looked in an English dictionary and the definition of the belief is what I formally stated but since people do not agree with you ,you choose to resort to name calling. How creative.

  • @marmackk You just cannot help yourself can you? So, you are now also stating that the English language has somehow changed to suit your lack of understanding and your general ignorance. So, you are saying the words 'moral' - with morals and amoral - without morals are wrong too? You are stating that the prefix 'a' is also incorrect. Clearly you are indeed ignorant. Either that or a dumb troll.

  • @Haizum74 ..no I'm not wrong neither am I ignorant, neither am I a fool and I can assure you that my mind nor my brain is little.Neither do I have to ask an English teacher anything. You just can't accept the fact that atheism is a belief. If I say I lack belief that someone is guilty then it is my BELIEF that they are innocent. That means that I have FAITH that they are innocent.Comprende

  • @marmack Aww, I'm sure you will live. Anyway, regardless of what you believe you are still wrong. Theism - Belief in god(s), Atheism rejects belief in a god(s)? Therefore its not a belief. Surely your simple mind can comprehend that? Its the prefix 'a' added to the start, meaning without, lacking, not. Go ask an English teacher or look in a dictionary and search for moral, amoral, typical, atypical, theist, atheist. Has that sunk into your little brain yet, ignorant fool!
