They walked out and Jessica took her seat next to Ethan. Joe frowned at this. He wanted her to sit next to him. Sure she wasn't his date, but still.
"So Ethan, how do you get so buff?"
"Oh, well I love to work out."
Jessica sat and pretended to listen to Ethan as he continued to talk about how he works out all the time. Joe sat and glared at the guy. Joe couldn't help but scoff. He worked out too.
"That's so cool."
She smiled at him and started touching his bicep.
"Wow, you're way strong."
Joe glared at the two. Jessica didn't notice though. Well ok, she did, but she was having fun. The waiter came and asked for our food. After ordering Jessica's phone started ringing.
"Just one second I have to take this."
She stood up and went outside.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jessica"
"Oh hey Quinn. Is everything ok? Is Hailey ok?"
Hailey was Quinn and Pucks little baby.
"Yeah, she's fine, its Finn."
"What about him?"
"He kinda sorta maybe disappeared?"
"WHAT?!"
"We don't know where he is."
I started to panic.
"I'll call him."
"Thanks Jess. You having fun?"
"Yeah, I am, I'm on a date right now."
"Have fun, and don't worry too much about Finn. I'm sure he's fine, we just wanted you to know."
"Thanks. I'll talk to you later."
I hung up the phone and dialed Finn's number. It rang and rang till his answering machine came up.
"Listen here buddy. You've got everyone in Lima worrying about you. You better answer your phone or you are so dead. You better not be in Vegas getting married, or off gambling, drinking, or doing anything I wouldn't approve of. You better just be in the next town over because you forgot which exit was yours. I'll I have to say is that if I don't hear from you soon you won't be having any kids. Ever."
I hung up the phone and I looked up to see Joe standing there with wide eyes.
"Oh hey Joe."
"Everything ok?"
"Well Finn is missing, but nothing else."
"Oh, so....."
"Maybe we should go back inside. I don't want to leave Ethan waiting."
"Oh right. Wouldn't want to leave Ethan hanging."
Jessica smiled at the sour tone in Joe's voice. They walked back inside and Jessica sat next to Ethan.
"Do you want to come back to my place?"
Jessica tried to hide her disgust as Ethan asked this question.
"We all should go to your apartment and watch a movie Ethan."
Thank you Christina was all that Jessica could think of.
"Yes we totally should." Joe decided to add his two cents. There was no way that he was letting Jessica go to Ethan's house alone. Ethan had a reputation. Jessica smiled because she could tell that Joe was jealous. He stood up and held his hand out to Christina who tried to hide her laughter.
"We'll meet you guys there yeah?" Jessica asked.
Joe glared at her "Or we could all go over together."
"You have your car though Joe." Jessica added. Joe and Jessica just stared at each other neither one of them blinking. Jessica finally stood up and Ethan followed her lead. They paid for their food and Jessica grabbed Ethan's hand and walked with him to his car. Joe and Christina got into Joe's car and you could tell that he wasn't very happy. Jessica felt kind of bad, but she also knew that she needed to keep going. Jessica and Ethan barely said any words on the ride to his apartment. They really didn't have anything in common, and Jessica didn't really like him.
