Very true. I'm not muslim but I know that anyone who is desires the same peace and love as any christian, athiest, agnostic, bhuddist, etc. No one wants to watch friends die, religions don't make the human brain process different when it comes to self preservation and love.

No, Musharraf never had credibility as he came to power by military coup. It would be better for him to leave. Maybe Choudhry can be president instead.

I think the world all of Musharraf's allies are preparing the ground for his departure from the scene of global politics the way his importance, legitimacy and competence as a ruler and as an ally of the West is being questioned in the media.
Fascinating how this works really. But I will only be happy to see him go.
