I'm an 80's/early 90's child/mid-late 90's teen myself and i bet at the time it was re-issued in March 96 you thought it was new, well it wasn't but did reintroduced a new generation of kids back then to this movie. I remembered the next year after this movie disappeared from theaters that i wanted this movie, i would ask the various video stores if O&C is coming to video and never showed up in 7 years until 96 when it finally came out on video after taking a longass time

  • Awesome song, i saw this movie when it first came out when i was 7 3 times with the last one being after christmas day when i lived in Omaha a year before moving to Albuquerque. I had merchandise such as soundtrack, t-shirt, readalong book with cassette, PVC oliver toy, Mcdonalds finger puppets, Mcdonalds singing ornuments and stuffed Oliver from Sears. I still enjoy this movie for nostalgia and grew up with Billy Joel and Huey Lewis back then as a kid.

  • @GkSelfAdverts LoL me too. They used to show this movie all the time at school! I always remembered that part in the movie, and then I sort of lost it, and then I found out that he did this song and I started freaking out!

Too bad he didn't write it, though.

  • @Chaos2ThaWorld1 It came out in 1988, but OK.

  • yeah i luv it when i was a 90s kid it came on theaters in 95 i didnt go their but i got the video in 96

  • I didn't figure out it was Billy Joel until last week. I love him, this song, and movie

  • Wha?.....
