Hampton Hawes-Little Bird

Hampton Hawes playing the electric piano? Well this is from the 70s. Unlike many players from Hawes's generation, I think he acquits himself very well on work like this. "Little Bird" is from Hawes's 1972 album Universe.

Hamp is my all-time favorite jazz pianist,i wish i could've seen him play live..I was too young to get in at the time

Oh, you have made my day. I wrote lyrics for this and Universe which Hamp approved at the time. I love that album Universe and he gave me a copy which I don't have any longer. Thanks for posting. Please post Universe if you can.
