  • It must be a joy to be able to play like that.

  • Did he die?

  • wonderful, thank you!

  • I love Kapsberger

  • no its a theorbo, a dead give away is the Rosetta

  • Amazing, but why do you have a gun on the end of your lute?

  • Pretty sure it's an archlute....

  • Gute Arbeit...Da müsste ich wieder die Knickhalslaute hervor holen denke ich... Besten Dank für die schöne Musik

  • I agree with you. With all those strings, there's a lot you can do with this instrument. These days everbody's about gettting a guitar, but the Theorbo is where it's at!

  • hi, the tuning of the italian theorbo is in A. 14 single strings:a,e,b,g,d,A,G,F,E,D,C,low B,low A and low G. in the begining of the 17th. century there were 6 strings on the fretboard and 8 long basses "diapasons", to the end of the century it was. 7 or 8 on the fretboard and 8 or 7 long diapasons, totaly 14 strings. sometimes the short strigs were double courses.

i hope this information will be helpful.
