Norm Coleman is not a New Yorker. Norm Coleman is a longtime resident of St. Paul. He moved to Minnesota after graduate school and began working for the Minnesota Attorney General's office.
I support electing individuals with Minnesota values - people who won't sell themselves to the highest bidder, people who will not use hatred to set Americans against one another, people who are intelligent and reasonable and competent. People like Al Franken, who grew up in St Louis Park; like like Steve Sarvi, who after high school in Minneapolis went to the U of M and has most recently served in the Minnesota National Guard in Iraq; like Elwyn Tinklenberg, born and raised in rural Minnesota
It was embarassing (and insulting) enough that the RNC was held in Minnesota. But that this New Yorker, who has unapologetically backed the fascist policies of the Bush administration, had the presumption to speak on behalf of Minnesotans is an outrage.
And, by the way, a failed McDonald's is a *good* thing! I wonder if Norm's ever darkened the door of Mickey's Diner?
