u will never pass an mot or sva without guards.

@tpvalley Actually apparently it's perfectly legal to have nothing over the wheels at all, you can have all 4 wheels with nothing on them, not even small mud guards, but that's only if you drive it in the dry and never in the rain, then the wheels would spray up water a lot, which is why they become illegal

But what should be a shame , is to lett the beautiful metal rust away thought...

That's awesome.

Here in Australia, the hot-rodders have "discovered" the old British Fords, such as the PILOT which were much more common than the "American" (Canadian) Fords.
A Pilot has enough mechanical similarity to the US Fords to be easily "hot-rodded" too.
I agree... just fine as it is.. There's too much polish in this world already. Restored cars are so soulless!!

I originally bought the car with the intention of scrapping for the parts to build my hotrod but on getting it home imediately realised that although the body and interior were way past restoring, the running gear and chassis were in near perfect condition, far too good to scrap so with the flatty borrowed from the rod and a set of tyres I moted it. Ive run it like that now for 4 years and have no intention of ever restoring it as I love it as it is, just jump in and go.

Sounds nice with the header plugs on too, can hardly hear it running then.
