Soul loves Maka, even though he doesn't show it that often.
Maka being so clueless about this because Soul always calls her flat chest & crap, doesn't realize that Soul is being heart broken every time she shows more affection to the others. [INCLUDING BLACK STAR dont hate, y'know u love it]
And yeah. It's Soul's perspective, and he can't keep his hormones from going crazy when Maka is around. At the end, it's Maka's heart's turn to beat. Hence, cause & effect.
