Is drinking a sin? Short answer: no. But being drunk is. As followers of Christ we must be educated on our convictions and warnings against it.

  • I can't watch your videos anymore it's just compromise to me. I think you need to not walk such a thin line in your videos. Just be real and not be popular.

  • @DivineForceSmash - Simply - the miracle at the wedding is not that he turned water into grape juice. The ruler of the feast could have sent servants to gather grapes and crush them. The miracle is that it came out as extra-ordinarily tasting wine (BETTER WITH AGE!!!). Fruits and grains were REGULARLY fermented to preserve them until the last 100yrs. Distilled liquor is a recent invention and was not around in bible days - so I don't agree with those. But STOP mistranslating scripture!!!

  • Hi, you sound christian but what denomination are you? Thanks!

  • @BiancaFlower I guess it also depends on your Christian religion (I don't know what yours is). I'm a devout Mormon and we have scripture from God that states that "strong drinks are not for the belly." This has been interpreted by our prophets to be alcohol as well as non-herbal teas and coffee. We believe in living free from harmful, addictive substances. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • I grew up in a dry household but when I went to college I tried alcohol several times and one time got very ill from overdoing it! One bad experience was all it took for me to realize how negative alcohol can be! Some people will be alcoholics, some won't! The key is moderation!

  • @Amidat I'm not going to talk about this anymore. Sounds to me like you need to repent, and trust Jesus. And if you have been born again already, you need to talk to the Holy Ghost about this because you are not right.

  • @DivineForceSmash - i'm sorry - but you're off. Daniel again - did not drink the wine OR eat the meat - because it was defiled by pagan practices (as Paul said - how can one drink the cup of the lord and drink the cup of devils?). Rightly divide the word of truth. In ancient times alcohol was more prevalent than "juice" because there was NO REFRIGERATION. Look up the words in the original language. If you see a drunk you can rebuke him... but don't "condemn the guiltless" (Messiah's words)!

  • @Amidat Enough. I have already presented evidence that it was grape juice, and not wine. Read God's word as it is written, and not as you assume. Read (Proverbs 20:1). Grape juice cannot mock, and God doesn't change (Malachi 3:6). If Daniel the Prophet wouldn't drink fermented wine, God wouldn't drink alcoholic wine either. Read Isaiah 65:8; new wine is found in the cluster. Wine in scripture refers to unfermented/fermented; Jesus was perfect, and he drank GRAPE JUICE. Anything else is a lie!

  • @DivineForceSmash - I'm not twisting scripture and only you are being contentious. As an fyi - there is "kosher" wine in use even today. So what do you think Paul was referring to the Corinthians? You can look up it the original languages and you will find it's not juice. I'm very aware of what Proverbs said (consuming does NOT equal drunk). Yeshua/Jesus was sinless - and that's my point! Are you also saying he turned the water at the wedding to grape juice? Read the story again.

  • @Amidat Quit twisting scripture and being contentious (Proverbs 26:21). Leaven in the wine would have been a violation of mosaic law. Jesus was sinless; he had fruit of the vine (grape juice). The Lord's Passover was instituted during the days of the unleavened bread (Mark 14:12), which proves he used unfermented juice. Read Proverbs 23:29-32: it warns us as to when we should avoid wine.

  • @SETFREE21 - yes
