Jneiro Jarel released his debut album as Dr Who Dat? in 2006 on Lex records. (Lex may be my new favorite rap label. LOOK OUT STONES THROW)

18 tracks of awesome forward thinking hip hop beats. The beats have a wide array of instrumentation, show plenty of creativity, plenty of funky, jazzy goodness on here a la Madlib & Count Bass D.

Very summery, very refreshing to hear hip hoppers exploring the more creative side of the genre.

Dr Who Dat? has a little something for beat heads everywhere.

  • i though he was from philly?

  • Born in Brooklyn, studio in Philly.

  • my favorite instrumentals are by rza. i could listen to almost any beat he's made for like ten hours straight. havoc, too. but i feel like havoc gets ghost producers. el-p is also good. i'll scrap the producers and dorkily tell you my favorite current rap acts: paris, dead prez, the coup, nas, jadakiss, eminem, clipse, weezy, wale

  • Did you listen to the new Bobby Digital ? I thought iwas dumb.

My fav cats right now are : Mf Doom, Restiform Bodies, Guilty Simpson, Del, Viktor Vaughn, Clipse, Kool Keith and Why?.

  • which one? are you talking about birth of a prince? i really like that record, actually. i think rza is a genius and pretty much anything he does is a-ok in my book. i have all the songs on kool keith's sex style memorized. my favorite rap is west coast g funk. i used to have a prejudice against gangsta rap but in college i reversed and now i have a prejudice against backpacker.

  • No, dude, I'm talking about is DIGI SNACKS !

But, RZA is a cool guy. He has made a lot records that I love.

I've always been able to on the fence between backpack and gangsta. Both have good and terrible artists.

  • I liked the video until you started talking about the slapping bitches and breaking them off. I don't think thats Dr.Who Dat's goal in what people want to perceive his music as.

  • 3.8? damn dude, ive heard 4 tracks and they are too heavenly. i like the use of instrumentation, adds a nice touch

the new school is looking real good...

  • I like your taste in music. The difference between you and most people i know - "hey did you hear that new _____ song? So good!", and you "Hey, did you hear that new ____ Album?? So good !" Big difference in mentalities.

  • and Jneiro Jarel is not his real name. It's just his main moniker

  • Jneiro Jarel's 1st album is Three Piece Puzzle released on Kindred Spirits in 2005

  • Funky fresh like count bass d, LOL....i can't hate at least this cat has great taste in music. Funky fresh should be outlawed though..haha.
